I am Teea, a professional wedding planner with years of experience in the hospitality industry. I have a Hospitality Management degree, and a Professional Wedding & Event planning Diploma.

Due to my experience as a manager in fast paced restaurants, smoothly coordinating a wedding day isn’t a problem at all. I genuinely love hospitality, which is exactly why I choose to do it as a day job and as a small business owner. Seeing your guests and yourself smile give me so much joy I don’t actually have exact words for it. Just imagine a golden retriever beaming happy, that’s the kinda energy I have.

Being a Finnish metalhead, goth, anime lover, and a gamer myself, I naturally specialise in darker aesthetics and heavier music. Although, I am here to help you with any theme you have. I have planned a viking handfasting and a relaxed not-as-alternative beach wedding before. I can also help you bring different cultures together ensuring both are smoothly represented without one overshadowing the other.

My services include Full planning, Partial planning and Coordination on the Day. You can rest stress free as I research venues and suppliers to match the ones who best align with your theme, values and your budget. I also help you with timeline creation, supplier communications and, of course, I coordinate on the day.

Currently, I am training as a Celebrant to provide a more comprehensive service. After completing a Wedding Celebrant certificate I will study naming ceremonies and funerals, too. This allows me to help more people celebrate life events staying true to being their alternative self.
Welcome to Garnet Weddings Ltd, a wedding planning service for alternative couples in the UK!

The word “alternative” isn’t an obvious “one description fits all” kind of a word. I am here to help you create a wedding as unique as you are. Be it gothic elegance, whimsical fairytale, some other theme or multicultural nuptials. You will be supported each step of the way in finding your own style.

My services include Full planning, Partial planning and Coordination on the Day. You can rest stress free as I research venues and suppliers to find the ones who best align with your theme, values and your budget. I also help you with timeline creation, supplier communications and, of course, I coordinate on the day.

Having a vast network of supplier friends, I can assure you, finding a match for your wedding won’t take too long. Please do book me in good time, though, as some suppliers will get fully booked a year or even two years in advance! Regardless of who you want to book, I will see to it that you have a great team of suppliers and your day goes smoothly from start to finish. I’ll often be the first person at the venue and the last one leaving the door!

    "We have been talking to Teea Edwards for a good couple of years about our vow renewal; 10 years since we first took our handfasting vows in the middle of a faerie festival. No revellers this time, or food stalls. Just Trelissick Gardens in Cornwall at dusk.

    The day we had yesterday was not the one we first planned - life and funds got in the way - but what it was, was perfect, for us, and with no end of ideas and resources from Teea even when the budget for some things became £0!

    In those couple of years she has been planner, yes - it's what she does with her business Garnet Weddings Ltd - yesterday she was also our celebrant and it was beautiful. It meant a lot to us that everyone involved was pagan and that we all brought our own energy to the rite, which comprised of calling in our chosen gods and goddesses, calling in the quarters, the handfasting itself, a Viking-inspired exchanging of sword and axe, then closing the rite at the end. I specifically asked Teea to bring in her own Finnish spirituality too - everything that happened yesterday was meant to be, under the shade of a tree, with a cool breeze and by a crossroads a few steps away.

    10 years of beautiful imperfect union, marked with another beautiful imperfect union. Not featured: epic feast with plenty of mead!

  • Yes. I am insured with an insurance company who specialise in wedding services. This includes public liability up to £5,000,000.

  • Preferably via email with as many details as possible. You can also call, text or message me on Instagram. Please note, if I don't reply straight away I may be at a venue viewing or a meeting with another client.

  • Please send me an email with the following details to the best of your knowledge: date, time, location, theme ideas, expected amount of guests, and ideal budget. I will get back to you within 48 hours with either a full quote or with further questions to get a better idea of your wedding plans.

  • Don't panic, I will do my utmost best to accommodate any change of plans that cause postponement or cancellation of your wedding day. Let me know at your earliest if your plans are changing and I'll see what I can do.
