About

Behind KIPKALINKA is the goldsmith Christine Kipka from Leipzig. Christine has made it her mission to create unique jewelry for discerning, exceptional people. The purpose is to elegantly and distinctively express their uniqueness and spiritual depth. Christine focuses on the minute details in her work, because only by looking very carefully can we truly see the secrets in ourselves and the world.

For Christine, jewelry is more than just shiny metal and sparkling gemstones - in her view, it fulfills important symbolic, even magical functions. From ancient times, stories and myths have evolved around rings with special properties - as amulets they bring luck, grant protection, serve to fulfill wishes, love, and loyalty. Precious metals and gemstones have protective and healing properties, but it is the owner's interpretation that gives the piece its true meaning. When you say "This piece symbolizes for me...," it becomes your own personal talisman.

  • We make each piece of jewellery individually to order in our Leipzig workshop, this takes time.

    The fabrication time is indicated for each item in the "Additional Information" section.

    For example:

    Ready to ship products are shipped within 3 business days.

    Silver jewellery without gemstones 10-14 business days.

    Silver jewellery with gemstones 3-4 weeks.

    Jewellery in gold and platinum without gemstones approx. 4 weeks.

    Jewellery in gold and platinum with gemstones 4-6 weeks.

    Custom made for which an existing model is adjusted individually 4-8 weeks.

    Customised products for which a new prototype must be created approx. 3-5 months

    Important: the application of a custom engraving extends the production time by 7 - 10 working days.

    Please contact us if you need a piece of jewellery by a specific date. We will let you know immediately if it is possible for us to grant your request. Under certain circumstances, a rush fee of 20% of the selling price will be charged.

  • Yes, Legend Bridal in Great Harwood has a full display where you can see our pieces in person. You can make an appointment to see the collection to help you find your perfect styles and stone combinations. Legend Bridal will then help you place your order to ensure you are confident in your choices.

  • As goldsmiths we use:

    • 925 sterling silver

    • All gold alloys (yellow gold, rose gold, red gold and palladium white gold) from 585 / 14K fineness

    • Our favorite material 950 platinum

    In our configurator you can view all precious metals "on the ring".

    Contact us to inquire about the price of one of our rings in your desired material.

    Materials we do NOT work with are:

    • Brass

    • Stainless steel

    • 333/10K gold (it's just no good)

    • Tungsten, iridium and other exotic metals that are not really suitable for jewellery

  • We would be happy to create your dream ring with the gemstones of your choice. In our Customiser you can get an overview of the gemstones we offer.

    The application is not yet online for all our rings, but we can make any ring with the gemstones shown there.

    Other gemstones are possible, provided they are available in the required cut. Please note that gemstones which are to be set in a ring should have a Mohs hardness of at least 6. If they are softer, you will not enjoy them for very long. Contact us if you want stones that are not listed in the customiser.

    We are also happy to work with diamonds, and have a wide network of trusted dealers. Since the pricing of these stones is very complex, we ask for a special request in this regard via our Contact Form. It is important for us to know how much you want to spend so that we can find the perfect diamond for you. Therefore, state your approximate budget in your request.

    We can acquire almost any type of gemstone, or even have it cut for you. After making a deposit or ordering the ring in your desired precious metal, we will order a selection of matching gemstones from our supplier. We will send you photos and prices of the individual stones and you can choose your favourite.

  • We will gladly take your old real jewellery in exchange, and return the precious metal (silver, gold, platinum, and palladium) to the sustainable material cycle. In this way, resources are conserved and you save on the purchase.

    We weigh and test your old pieces to determine their purity.

    You will receive photos of the weighing, and what has no value will be returned to you, along with your new piece of jewellery.

    The determined material value of the respective precious metal is credited to you at the current purchase price. This is offset against the purchase price of the new piece of jewellery.

    You will receive a purchase document and a receipt for the amount after the purchase.

    After prior consultation, please send us your old treasures registered and insured.

    If you want jewellery made from the exact precious metal of your heirlooms for emotional reasons, the process is more complicated and involves extra costs. Also, at least 20 grams of scrap gold or 40 grams of silver are required for the separation process. White gold and platinum metals unfortunately cannot be reworked in this way.
