Well, where do we begin?! Our wedding idea was to have a wedding and music festival into one – with the ceremony and VIP DJ night on the Friday, and local music bands all day Saturday. With this being alternative to ‘traditional’ weddings – we were looking for a celebrant to match our quirky vibe – and boy did we find her.

From first meeting Rachael you can certainly see why she is a celebrant and why she is amazing at what she does. We met up in a coffee shop and she asked us questions to really get to know us – our little in jokes – our whole essence – so she could write the first draft of the ceremony. The first draft was absolutely perfect, it is as if she has known us for years! Each individual detail and what makes us, us! Rachael is an incredibly talented writer, we really felt ourselves on each page. If this is the type of ceremony you want then Rachael is definitely your woman!

Following this we had a few more meetings to finalise certain details. My sister has autism and struggles socially, she wanted to be the ring bearer but also did not want to commit due to the pressure and stress it would cause her. Rachael was absolutely fantastic with her and reassured us and her that this could be changed at last minute, and this completely took the pressure off! My sister loved meeting her before too and Rachael went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and well looked after not only before the wedding but during – which was so important to us and we will never forget.

Gosh, where do I even start?! My wife and I decided to get married very last minute due to rapidly declining health.. we had 7 weeks to plan a wedding and no idea where to start! From the very first communication with Rachael we knew we had made the right decision with her. She made us feel at ease, explaining all aspects and answering all questions. Each appointment felt like catching up with a friend. The whole process of planning and arranging the ceremony was effortless; Rachael managed to capture our entire essence! Even down to the clothing she wore on the day was quintessentially us. The ceremony itself is a blur(!) but watching back videos we can see that Rachael was as in the moment as we were! So many friends and family commented afterwards just how beautiful the ceremony was, my mother in law wants to be a celebrant now! I would not hesitate to recommend Electric Joy, and we look forward to booking you again for vow renewals in a few years!!

Wow… where do we start?! Rachael was incredible from the word go! From the moment we reached out, Rachael was kind, thoughtful and completely focused on making our wedding day as special as possible. Everything was incredibly personal, Rachael took the time to get to know us as individuals, but also as a couple and tailored our ceremony to include our relationship, our families and everything in between- anyone reading our wedding script would think Rachael had known us for years!! Rachael created a bespoke, amazing ceremony, which was everything we had ever wanted! Our guests were so impressed, lots of people commented on how they’ve never been to a wedding like it, and some of our guests now want Rachael to be part of their own weddings!

Rachael - what a incredible person! If you want your wedding one to be one your guest remember and one like no other you or your guest have seen. Then this is your one stop shop. Everything that was said during our ceremony was so personal and reflective of us and how we are as a couple.
