Something powerful happens when likeminded creatives come together, not just to share ideas, but to build something lasting.
The Dark Wedding Collective (DWC) was born from exactly that kind of collaboration.
After years of navigating the wedding industry as outsiders, artists, designers, photographers, and planners who never quite fit the mould, we found each other. Our paths crossed through two standout alternative wedding events: Til Death and Dark Enchantment. Each designed to disrupt the traditional wedding scene in its own way. But what we discovered was that we weren’t just building events, we were building a community.
It clicked because we shared the same values: authenticity, inclusivity and creativity without apology. We weren’t trying to reshape ourselves to fit a conventional space, we were making space for people like us.

The People Behind the Collective
This collective is powered by the same creative force behind Til Death and Dark Enchantment, and is shaped by years of experience in the alternative wedding world.
Legend Bridal – designers of bold, gothic couture for those who don’t do ordinary.
Vicky Dubois Photography – documenting weddings with character, energy and edge.

Together, we’ve worked with hundreds of couples and creatives, all looking for something outside the usual wedding checklist. We’ve seen what happens when people feel safe to be themselves. We’ve also seen how hard that can be to find.
That’s why we built this collective, not as a directory or a brand, but as a shared space. One where everyone, couples and suppliers alike, can belong.
Who Is DWC For?
The DWC is for anyone who doesn’t feel seen in mainstream wedding culture and isn’t interested in playing by its rules.
If you're a couple planning a gothic, alternative, punk, witchy, industrial, dark fantasy, or non-traditional wedding, you’re in the right place. Whether your wedding is rooted in queerness, subculture, identity, or just a need to do things differently, we welcome you without judgement.
It’s also for wedding creatives and suppliers! Photographers, makeup artists, planners, stylists, venues, florists, designers & more. It’s for those whose work doesn’t fit inside neutral toned wedding blogs or pastel heavy directories. If your aesthetic is bold, your values are inclusive, and your focus is authenticity over trends, this is your space to be seen, celebrated, and supported.

What Sets Us Apart
We’re not a directory, nor a trend-led blog and we definitely aren’t another “alternative” space that still plays it safe.
The Dark Wedding Collective was built by people who’ve stood on both sides. As couples who felt overlooked, and as suppliers carving space for ourselves & others where none existed. That lived experience shapes everything we do.
This isn’t about curating a vibe. It’s about holding space for people who’ve been told they don’t fit.
What makes us different is simple:
We care more about who you are than what your wedding looks like.
We believe real connection beats curated perfection every time.
There’s no room for gatekeeping or ego, just people who want others to succeed.
Accessibility matters and for us, its not an afterthought, but built in from the start.
And most importantly, community comes first. Because we believe that support shouldn’t be conditional.
We are simply just a collective of people who get it and give a damn!
